Is it good or bad to burn agarbatti while worshiping?
We often burn incense in our homes, offices, and temples. In the temples, there is a rule to burn incense lamps (diyo/diya) as an aarti after worship.
It has also been mentioned that by mixing the leaves of different herbs in this way, various ragas are extracted in the incense lamps. Experts are suggesting that burning agarbatti can have a serious effect on health. Different types of fragrances are used for smell.
According to the scriptures, it is also mentioned not to burn items made of bamboo while performing any sacred act. It is forbidden to burn the bamboo while performing any auspicious deed. Every agarbatti available in the market is made from bamboo.
The sacred incense (diyo/diya) is considered to be the best for worship. Experts have suggested that since the Diyo/diya is made of organic paper and uses various herbal items, the diyo/diya burned is more sacred than the agarbatti.
