Happy Ganga Dashahara

In the month of Jyeshtha, on the tenth day of Shukla Paksha, in Hasta Nakshatra, Ganga descended from the Himalayas and came to the world of death. By bathing on Ganga Dussehra, Bhagwati Ganga destroys ten types of sins and also gives a hundred times the virtue of Ashwamedha Yagya.

Meaning, while walking, sitting, sleeping, waking up, meditating, eating, breathing, and speaking, one who always remembers the Ganges should also be freed from bondage.

By having darshan, by touching the water of the Ganges, by drinking and by chanting the Ganges-Ganges, or by simply remembering, one becomes free from sin.

Jyeshtha Shukla Dashami is considered to be Samvatsarmukhi, especially after bathing and donating.
There is a practice of donating things related to summer-like sherbet, sattu, fan, a pot filled with water, etc.

If bathing in the Ganges is not possible, then while taking a bath, mix some Ganges water in the water, if that is not possible, then take a mental Ganges bath and just bow to them.
