Ekadashi fasting is very important in Sanatan Dharma. Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the maintainer of the world, is worshiped on this day. The day of Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Vishnu only.

This is the reason why this day is also called Harivasar i.e. the day of Hari i.e. Lord Vishnu. There is two Ekadashi tithi in every month of the Hindu calendar. Now that the month of Ashadha has started.

When is Yogini Ekadashi?

Yogini Ekadashi fast is observed every year on the eleventh day of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Ashadha. In the year 2021, Yogini Ekadashi is falling on Monday, July 05. In such a situation, the fast of Yogini Ekadashi will be kept on 05 July and Parana will be done on the next day i.e. on 06 July on Tuesday.

The Paran Muhurta of Yogini Ekadashi will start from 05.28 am and will end at 08.15 am. In such a situation, the total duration of Paran Muhurta was 02 hours 46 minutes.

Significance of Yogini Ekadashi

Yogini Ekadashi has great importance in Sanatan Dharma. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. It is believed that by observing Yogini Ekadashi, all the sins of the people are destroyed and one gets freedom from sins like cutting a Peepal tree.

By observing this fast, one gets the virtuous result of feeding 88 thousand brahmins. Also, by observing this fast, one’s curse is also removed. The life of the people who observe Yogini Ekadashi is filled with happiness and prosperity.

Yogini Ekadashi Puja Method

The fasting rules of Yogini Ekadashi start from the tenth day. In such a situation, the people observing the fast of Yogini Ekadashi should not consume anything made of barley, wheat, and moong dal on the night of Dashami.

Also, those who observe fast on the night of Dashami Tithi should not consume salt. On Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. After that take a vow of fasting.

There is a provision to establish a Kalash on the day of Yogini Ekadashi. After establishing the Kalash, place the idol of Lord Vishnu on top of that Kalash and worship him. Offer Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu.

While doing Jagran on the night of Ekadashi, keep worshiping or meditating on God.
This fast starts from Dashami Tithi and ends after donating in the morning on Dwadashi Tithi. The fast can be broken after donation-Dakshina in Paran Muhurta.
