Do you know the importance of women in Hinduism?

Women are respected - Importance of Women In Hinduism.

In Hinduism, a woman is considered respectable. In the Vedas and Puranas, Adi Shakti has been considered as the form of a woman. It is believed that the Tridev i.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh also get their powers from these goddesses. The existence and importance of women has been explained in great detail in Hindu philosophy. But with the passage of time the hypocrites and little-knowers of Hindu religion did not understand the existence of women. The importance of women has been included in the main elements of Hindu religion.

What is the importance of woman?

यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवता: । यत्रैतास्तु न पूज्यन्ते सर्वास्तत्राफला: क्रिया:

।। Meaning: where women are worshipped, the gods reside there. And where they are not worshipped, all work becomes fruitless. In Hinduism, it is said that where women are worshiped, there resides power. This entire universe is incomplete without Shakti. Therefore women must be worshipped. Even when the Tridev i.e. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are unable to accomplish any task, they meditate on the Adi Shakti. It is proved from the story of Mahishasura that the supreme power and the biggest system mentioned is very close to Goddess Bhagwati i.e. woman or Bhagwati Durga herself. (In Hinduism, one God is considered to be the greatest who is even higher than Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva).

Worship of Women: There is a law of worship of women in Hinduism. Puja is considered incomplete without Kanya Puja during Navratri. It is considered a sin to sit without a wife in a pilgrimage place or any worship etc. Hindu religion ready for women welfare: In Hinduism, the wife is considered as Ardhangini i.e. half part. The trinity of Hinduism is also considered incomplete without their wives like Vishnu ji and Lakshmi ji, Shiva ji and Parvati ji, Brahma ji and Saraswati ji. By implementing such a system, an effort has been made to keep the reverence for women in the hearts of the common people.

In later years, due to ignorant and hypocrites, the importance of women has definitely been hurt. Some baseless practices were started which have nothing to do with Vedic Sanatan Dharma like Sati system, child marriage, dowry etc. The story of being Sati is not found anywhere in Hindu scriptures. There is no mention of child marriage in Hindu scriptures. The stories of Shiva-Parvati and Ram-Sita are found in Hindu religious texts, in which there is no mention of dowry. In Hindu Sanatan Dharma, there are stories of women’s swayamvara, that is, earlier women could choose a groom for themselves. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that women have always been respected in Hindu Sanatan Dharma, but in later years the hypocrites played a big role in weakening the importance of women.
