Where should we keep the flowers offered to God after the prayers at home?
In Hinduism, there is a tradition of offering flowers to idols, statues or photos of God. There is a religious belief that offering flowers to God in this way fulfills the desires of the devotees. People offer flowers by installing an idol or statue of God in the house. But it is customary to water the flowers in this way. But when rotten flowers are put in a pond, it becomes dirty. So what to do with the flower offered in the worship of God?
1) The flower offered to God should be placed in a place where the flower is not insulted. As much as possible, it should not be stepped on. 2) When the flower offered to God is withered, it should first be pasted on your forehead and placed at the base of a tree in the courtyard basil or temple premises. 3) Placing withered flowers under the tree, it acts as fertilizer to the tree. From which the tree gets nutrients and also does not get dirty elsewhere.
4) Since everything offered to God is sacred, even flowers are considered sacred. Therefore, the flower offered to God should not be insulted by throwing it wherever it is found. 5) Not only flowers but also offerings to God should not be kept for a long time. It should be distributed among the devotees as soon as the worship is over. If there is any left, it should be fed to any animal.
