If you don’t take care of these things, poverty will enter your house, not the arrival of Mother Lakshmi.
The second great festival of Hindus around the world is approaching. Tihar is celebrated every year on the day of Krishnapaksha’s new moon in the month of Kartik. On this day, God, the giver of wisdom, and God Ganesh are worshiped. So that his blessing may always be in the family. Doing so brings happiness and peace to the home.
There is a religious belief that on the day of Tihar, Goddess Lakshmi goes from house to house to show mercy to her devotees. Therefore, the house is cleaned and painted during the festival. Many believe that Laxmi does not live in a house where there is no sanitation and with broken things.
So before the festival, pick up the broken items in the house and throw them out of the house. Let’s take a look at some of the things to look out for when cleaning your house today.
When cleaning the house during the festival, first of all, throw out the broken utensils. These utensils make the house uncomfortable by occupying unnecessary space when they are in the house.
According to the scriptures, eating food in those vessels increases poverty and architectural defects. According to Vastu Shastra, it is not beneficial to keep broken glass utensils in the house. When such utensils are kept in the house, Laxmi does not live, resulting in loss of wealth and increase in poverty.
If the glass or glass in your home is broken, replace it immediately. According to Vastu Shastra, broken glass is considered a sign of bad luck. Also, broken glass is considered a symbol of Rahu.
Vastu Shastra also says that it is difficult to keep broken utensils at home. Most homes have photos of family members. If a picture of your home is damaged or shattered, it should be removed immediately.
Replace the glass covering the picture immediately. Failure to do so may result in damage to your home. This causes a lack of happiness and peace in the home.
According to the scriptures, love between family members ends. If you have furniture in your home, have it repaired or replaced at the festival. This is because broken furniture adversely affects the health of family members. Also, repair broken doors immediately. It is believed that by not doing so, Mother Lakshmi would never enter through such a door.
The clock is believed to determine the success of household members. Closed or interrupted clock stops the progress of family members. So immediately remove the clocks that are off during the festive cleaning. It spoils the positive energy in the house and the negativity remains. The clock in your home should always be on.
Another important thing is that the idol or picture of the deity should never be placed in the worship hall. Such statues or pictures should flow under a peepal tree or in a river. Mother Goddess Lakshmi is saddened to see a damaged picture or idol. So when cleaning, most of them should be kept in a holy place outside the house.
If any technical item is damaged in the house, it should be managed during the festival. Remove or repair such items. Because bad technical stuff is associated with Saturn’s fault. On the other hand, if the technical materials are damaged, it is also considered as an architectural defect.
