Why there is trident in the hands of Lord Shiva?
The trident is the main weapon of Lord Shiva. If you see the symbol symbol of the trident, three pointed ends are seen in it. Although this weapon is a symbol of destruction, in fact, it tells a very cryptic thing.
There are three types of trends in the world – Sat, Raz and Tama. Sat means satvik, raja means worldly and tam means tamasi or nocturnal nature.
These three trends are found in every human being. The only difference is that their quantity varies. The three pointed ends of the trident represent these three trends.
Through the trident, Lord Shiva gives the message that we should have complete control over these qualities. This trident should be raised only when there is a difficulty. Only then these three qualities are used as required.
