Know where the Shivalinga is worshiped in the female form
Our country is full of ancient temples in every part of India. Many of these temples are very famous about which everyone knows, while many temples are still far from the reach of most people. Most of such unintended temples are located in the inaccessible areas of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh and this area is also Naxal affected. Therefore only local people can reach here. One such unknown temple is Lingai Mata Temple which is situated in the cave of Alor village. In fact, there is a Shivalinga in this temple, it is believed that the mother is enthroned in the Linga form. The coordinated form of Shiva and Shakti is known as Lingai Mata.
The temple is situated in Alor village:
About 8 km from Farsgaon, village Aalor is located on the Badongar road from the west. About 2 km from the village is a hill to the northwest known as Lingai Gatta Lingai Mata. On top of this small hill is a huge stone on a wide spread rock. This stone, which looks normal like other stones from outside, is stupa-numa. Looking at the structure of this stone from inside it seems as if a huge stone has been cut over the rock by carving it. There is a tunnel in the south direction of this temple which is the entrance to this cave. The gate is so small that one can enter here only by sitting or lying down. 25 to 30 men can sit inside the cave. Inside the cave is a Shivling in the middle of the rock, which will be about two feet in height, the devotees believe that its height was very low earlier, it increased with time.
The temple opens one day a year:
Due to tradition and popularity, this natural temple does not offer prayers daily. One day in the year the temple gate opens and on this day a fair fills here. Thousands of devotees gather here every year to vow to have children. Every year after the Shukla Paksha Navami date of the month of Bhadrapada, this natural shrine is opened on Wednesday, and worship is offered and performed by devotees throughout the day.
Assumptions related to the temple:
There are two special beliefs associated with this temple. The first belief is regarding the attainment of children. Most of the devotees who visit this temple come to ask for a vow to have children. The way to ask for extortion here is also unique. It is necessary to offer cucumber to the couple desiring to have children. The priest returns the cucumbers offered as prasad to the couple after worship. The couple has to cut this cucumber in two pieces by making an incision with their nails in front of the Shivling and then in front of them both have to accept this Prasad. On completion of the vow, the offering is to be made according to reverence next year. Offering animal sacrifice and alcohol to the mother is prohibited.
