LSD: Akshay Tritiya, which is celebrated every year on the day of Vaishakhshukla Tritiya, is being celebrated today by donating Satu and Sarvat. According to the classical law, one gets up early today morning to cover the house, take a bath and prepare the worship material.
Diyo, Kalash, and Ganesha are worshiped by placing a copper plate with Ashta Dal inscription on the Kalash and worshiping Lord Vishnu with sixteen ingredients. And it is customary to donate barley flour.
It is described in various Puranas that good deeds including bathing, giving alms, meditation, and chanting on this day will be beneficial. It is a tradition from the Vedic period to donate and eat barley as barley Satu and nectar are the same in the summer of Vaishakh.
It is also said to help boost the body’s immune system. “Even if you donate a little on the day of Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya, you will get a lot of fruits and it is indestructible, that is, it will never perish. Today is called Akshay Tritiya. It also characterizes the saying, ‘Protect the body first and practice only Dharma.’
The pot that will be donated today is also called Dharmaghatadi Dan. It is customary to donate umbrellas, sticks, and cloth shoes to the elderly and if there are bunches, cows, land, grain, and gold are also donated to the deserving Brahmins.
It is believed that Aradhyadeva Mahadev and Himalayan daughter Parvati got married on this day in Satya Yuga. Therefore, there is a belief that you don’t have to go to the wedding tomorrow.
This date is called Akshay Tritiya as the good deeds done on this day will bring inexhaustible fruit. The birth anniversary of sage Parashuram, who was born on the day of Akshay III, is also being celebrated.
Parashuram, one of the Ashtchiranjeevis, was born on the evening of the third day. Parashuram is believed to be the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
